Bolivia will improve access to potable and irrigation water with IDB assistance

A loan of US$109 million will benefit 55,000 homes and 6,700 farmers in three municipalities The Inter-American Development Bank (IDB) has approved a $109 million financial package to provide 55,000 homes in the city of El Alto with improved access to potable water, and 6,700 farmers in the municipalities of Pucarani and Batallas with improved access to irrigation services in Bolivia.

Paraguay will expand water and sanitation services with IDB support

Financing will assist development of rural areas, indigenous communities and small towns Paraguay will expand water and sanitation services in rural areas, native communities and small towns with support from a $40 million loan from the Inter-American Development Bank (IDB). The program is expected to receive another $20 million from the Development Promotion Fund (FONPRODE), a financial cooperation instrument created by the government of Spain.

IDB loan to Visión Banco will increase access to financing and enable homes to carry out improvements and connect to water and sewer systems The Inter-American Development Bank (IDB) has approved a $10 million loan from its Opportunities for the Majority Sector to Visión Banco SAECA of Paraguay, designed to improve and broaden access to potable water and sanitation services for families living in small cities and suburban areas, through investments in water and sanitation councils (juntas de agua y saneamiento) and loans to families at the base of the pyramid.
